Graphite offers versatility, from delicate, detailed lines to rich dark shadows as I build tones layer by layer. The careful observation required — whether I’m studying a person’s features or the texture of an object — creates a quiet, focused space where I can full immerse myself in the process. Every mark I make feels purposeful, as if the drawing itself is unfolding slowly, revealing its story one stroke at a time.
